What is ECO?
ECO (Energy Company Obligation) is a UK government-funded program providing grants to homeowners in England, Wales, and Scotland to enhance energy efficiency and reduce energy bills. Running from July 2022 to March 2026, it helps those with properties rated E, F, or G on their EPC, provided they receive a government benefit. The program aims to lower CO2 emissions and improve heating and insulation in homes.
GBIS
The Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) provides grant funding for insulation measures, like cavity and internal wall insulation, to eligible households through energy suppliers. Established by the UK Government in 2022, it addresses the sharp increase in international wholesale gas prices.
